Robotics group beholden for assistance

The Watertown High School Robotics Team 237 interjection everybody who donated to and attended a pancake breakfast Jan. 18 and ziti cooking Oct. 18. Proceeds from these events will assistance us attend competitions and compensate for losses incurred during a build season.

First, we appreciate VFW Post 7330, Oakville, and Union Congregational Church, Oakville, for permitting us to use their comforts for a events. We also extend a special appreciate we to a following companies and organizations that sponsored placemat advertisements and/or donated Take-a-Chance prizes:

Thanks to those who upheld a fundraisers, we have some of a income indispensable to contest opposite other robotic teams in this year’s game, Recycle Rush — a recycling-themed diversion played by dual alliances of 3 robots each. Robots measure points by stacking totes on scoring platforms, capping those stacks with recycling containers, and scrupulously disposing of pool noodles, representing litter. Recycle Rush certainly will poise problems we would be incompetent to solve but a inexhaustible support we receive.

This year, Team 237 will face regular-season competitions during Wilby High School in Waterbury, as good as during Bryant University in Rhode Island. If we qualify, we will contest during a New England Championships during Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass., and a Nationals in St. Louis.
