January 27, 2017 - garden totes

A revisit to Paris with a tiny quirky Americana thrown in (think Airstream trailers), this desirable hotel in a small, remodeled 140-year-old building is usually a brief travel from downtown Petaluma and mostly named as one of a tip inexpensive boutique hotels in a region, if not a country.

The heterogeneous taste is all about fun and fancy. A cadre of selected garden gnomes greets guest in a lobby, along with mannequins, aged steel signs, French posters and tabletop siphon organs. Crepes are done uninformed for breakfast in a tiny café, there’s self-serve pour-over coffee on palm and tandem bikes accessible to debate a town. It’s still and calm — a loyal delight.

Rooms: Adorable guest bedrooms in a categorical building boast blond timber floors, brightly colored drapes, red-and-white stormy bedding and French country-style unsettled armoires. But for a truly opposite experience, we simply contingency try a Airstream trailers. There are three, and a biggest is Airstream One, a honeymoon suite. It’s one of usually 50 constructed with a limited-edition, contemporary interior, a polished-aluminum walls propitious with mirrors to make it seem larger. It has wire and Wi-Fi, a lovable tiny stove, a tea kettle, pans, flatware and dishes. There’s a mini French press with Peet’s coffee during a ready. Even a mini iron and ironing house in a closet compartment. Be advised, these are tighten buliding – all is mini. But a place is totes adorbs!

Zzz’s: In a trailer, you’ll find a super-cushy bed and a pompous comforter, like sleeping under a large marshmallow.

Splashes: While there are clawfoot tubs in many bedrooms in a categorical building, a Airstream showers are clearly built for Hobbits. Humans taller than 6 feet have to bootlick in a tiny stalls, and a toilet/sink areas are a distance of airline lavatories. But those are pardonable issues compared to a lovable surroundings.

Extras: The trailers are given with books — with titles like, “Sin on Wheels: The Uncensored Confessions of a Trailer Park Tramp.” If we don’t wish to go into downtown for lunch or dinner, there’s a Peruvian grill right subsequent to a hotel, Quinua Cocina Peruana.
